Since 1966

Starla always called it her restaurant.

She grew up a quarter-mile from here. Sundays were fried chicken. She waited tables for the Turners in 1991, stayed when it changed hands, and when the time came she and James took the keys. James spent 35 years as a welder. He still keeps the place standing.

“I love my restaurant. I love everything about it,” she said. “We’re where people come to meet old friends and make new ones.”

“When you’re here, you’re home.”
